On May 29, Ward Melville High School hosted an inspiring panel featuring alumni who are now collegiate athletes. The event was designed to provide current high school students with a firsthand look at the realities of playing sports at the college level. The panelists, who represented a diverse range of sports, shared their experiences, challenges and triumphs in balancing academics and athletics. They discussed the rigorous demands of college sports, the importance of time management and the valuable life skills they have gained through their athletic journeys. The alumni also offered practical advice on the recruitment process and emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong academic record.

The session concluded with a question-and-answer session, allowing current high school students to engage directly with the athletes and gain deeper insights into what it takes to succeed as a student-athlete in college. This event provided an invaluable perspective for aspiring college athletes at Ward Melville High School.
