Ward Melville High School senior Lyndsay Stype received a certificate of recognition from the Three Village Central School District for her volunteerism and outstanding leadership in the community during the Jan. 22 board of education meeting.

Lyndsay regularly performs community service with the Town of Brookhaven. She is involved in raising companion dogs with Canine Companions and is currently raising and training the family’s third puppy. She also assists with the Avalon Nature Initiative, which provides teens with the skills to protect the natural environment, such as beach cleanups and gardening. During the holidays. Lyndsay also volunteered with Eileen’s Home for the Holidays where she brought meals and toys to local shelters.

The District congratulates Lyndsay with this outstanding accomplishment.
