Fourth graders at W.S. Mount Elementary School learned about colonial times during an interactive visit to The Smithtown Historical Society’s Franklin Arthur Farmhouse. Students crafted handmade toys, participated in wool carding and weaving activities, and learned about growing flax. The trip helped students make connections to the content they’ve been learning about in the classroom.
