At the latest Board of Education meeting, nearly 200 student musicians from the Three Village Central School District were recognized for their selection to prestigious music festivals at the county, state and national levels. These included SCMEA, NYSCAME, LISFA, the LISFA Chamber Music Festival and the NAfME All-Eastern Conference, honors that underscore the talent, dedication and development of the district’s music students.
Among the evening’s featured performers were LooJi Lee, Mia Liu and senior Alexander Song (this year’s salutatorian), as well as talented third graders Tessa Coffin, Ellie Paulson and Ellianna Schaentzler, all of whom performed on violin or piano.
The Board also celebrated the success of the district’s Music Without Borders initiative, through which Tri-M Honor Society members provided over 300 free one-on-one lessons to younger students this spring. In addition, 626 student musicians were recognized for their participation in the NYSSMA and All-State Festival held at Ward Melville High School.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt video tribute and a joint performance by the district’s most advanced and youngest musicians, highlighting the strength and continuity of Three Village’s outstanding music program.
