Three exceptional students from Ward Melville High School – Allexia Chou (grade 12), Zoe Churgel (grade 10) and Jacob Zilberstein (grade 12) – have been named recipients of the prestigious Students Building Bridges Award, presented by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island (JCRC-LI).
The students were recognized during a Holocaust Remembrance Commemoration held on May 8, where they were honored by members of the New York State Senate and Assembly representing Suffolk County, as well as JCRC-LI officials.

Allexia, Zoe and Jacob were selected for their outstanding leadership, dedication to service and efforts to promote understanding among diverse groups – values that are essential to building a better and more unified society.
